The Think College Now school community seeks outstanding teachers with a track record of accelerating student achievement to serve our kindergarten through fifth grade students and their families. TCN is located in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland. Our students are Latino, African-American, and Asian. 95 percent live in poverty.
Teaching at TCN means:

In addition, TCN teachers lead school-wide initiatives, collaborate off-site at beginning and end of the year retreats, and pursue opportunities to develop their practice. Last year, TCN was one of three Oakland schools to be named a California Distinguished School. We are proud of this accomplishment, but with just over 50 percent of students proficient in English Language Arts and just over 60 percent proficient in math, our vision has yet to be realized. We seek to recruit teachers to our staff from diverse cultural, racial, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
